Is Kings Veterinary Clinic open 24 hours for emergencies?

Yes. All four Kings branches are open 24 hours for emergencies, every day. Routine appointments are available from 9am to 9pm, Monday to Sunday. Emergency opening and routine appointment hours are different: an overnight emergency visit should be arranged by calling the branch directly.

Emergency mobile numbers are Al Barari / Majan: +971 54 524 2011; Al Wasl / Jumeirah: +971 56 991 9250; Al Furjan: +971 50 455 9942; and Damac Hills 2: +971 54 285 0414. Tell the team your location, your pet’s species, what has happened and when it started. They can guide you before you travel. Please do not wait for a WhatsApp or appointment-form reply in an emergency.

How much does a vet consultation, vaccination or treatment cost in Dubai?

The amount depends on the service your pet needs, the examination findings and whether tests or treatment are required. For vaccinations, the species, age, previous record, vaccine types and number of visits affect the plan. For dental or surgical care, assessment, anaesthesia, investigations, the procedure and follow-up can be separate parts of the estimate.

Ask your chosen Kings branch for the current consultation fee and an itemised estimate for the proposed care. Confirm which items are included, which are optional or additional, and whether VAT, medicines, protective collars, rechecks or later booster visits are covered. Emergency and out-of-hours care may carry additional charges. We do not publish an unverified fixed package price; reception can provide a current quote for your pet’s needs.

Which veterinary services can I arrange at Kings?

Kings’ services include consultations and wellness checks, cat and dog vaccinations, microchipping, dental care, spay and neuter enquiries, soft tissue surgery, orthopedic assessment, internal medicine and diagnostic investigations such as X-rays, ultrasound and laboratory testing. You can also enquire about exotic pet appointments, home vet visits, pet transport, food delivery and accessories.

The right location and appointment depend on the service, equipment, clinician and your pet’s condition. Reception can confirm these details before your visit. Grooming enquiries are available through participating branches; grooming is not provided at Damac Hills 2. The dedicated service pages explain what to expect, how to prepare, what can affect the cost and the next questions to discuss with the team.

How do I book an appointment, and when is it confirmed?

You can call or WhatsApp your preferred branch, or use the website’s appointment request form. The form asks for your branch, contact details, pet, service, preferred date and time window. Continuing opens a prepared WhatsApp message to the branch you selected; you decide when to send it.

The request does not reserve a time. Your appointment is confirmed when reception agrees the date, time, location and relevant clinician with you. Ask the team about the consultation fee, any estimate and preparation instructions before travelling. If you need to change or cancel a visit, contact that branch directly. For an emergency, use the branch’s mobile number immediately instead of sending a routine appointment request.

What should I bring to my pet’s first veterinary appointment?

Bring your pet’s vaccination booklet, microchip number, previous medical reports and a list of current medicines or supplements. If your pet has been treated elsewhere, relevant test results, discharge notes and images help the veterinarian understand the history. Record when a new problem began and any changes in eating, drinking, activity or behaviour that you want to discuss.

Transport your pet securely and tell reception in advance about handling difficulties, anxiety or special access needs. Ask for species-appropriate transport advice when needed. Do not withhold food, change medication or collect a sample unless the team gives instructions for the planned appointment. For a serious or rapidly worsening problem, call immediately; collecting records should not delay urgent care.

Can a Kings veterinarian visit my pet at home in Dubai?

Yes, you can enquire about home veterinary consultations. Share your exact address, pet’s species, reason for the visit and preferred timing so reception can check coverage, clinician availability and travel charges. A home visit may be helpful when an appropriate consultation can be carried out in your pet’s familiar surroundings.

Some investigations, monitoring and procedures require a clinic. Explain the symptoms when booking so the team can advise whether a home visit is suitable or a clinic appointment is a better next step. Urgent home visits are subject to availability and should never delay emergency treatment. Confirm the full visit fee, what can be provided at home, any additional charges and the follow-up arrangements before the visit is agreed.

Do you treat cats, dogs and exotic pets?

Kings provides veterinary care for cats and dogs and accepts enquiries about exotic pets. For a rabbit, bird, reptile or another less common species, tell reception the exact species and the reason for the appointment before you travel. The team needs to confirm the appropriate clinician, location and availability; a general exotic-pet listing is not a guarantee that every species or procedure can be accommodated at every branch.

For an exotic-pet appointment, be ready to discuss the diet, housing, environment and recent changes in behaviour as well as the immediate concern. Ask the team about safe transport for that species. For an emergency, call straight away and describe the species and symptoms so reception can guide you to suitable care.

Is cat and dog grooming available at every Kings branch?

Grooming is not offered at Damac Hills 2. Contact Al Barari / Majan, Al Wasl / Jumeirah or Al Furjan to check the service and appointment available for your pet. Discuss the species, size, coat condition, requested trim or bath and any relevant skin or medical concerns before booking.

Ask what the quoted grooming service includes, whether matting or extra handling affects the price, and the expected collection time. Tell the team if your pet has previously found grooming difficult. Skin irritation, wounds or a painful coat problem may need a veterinary assessment rather than a cosmetic grooming appointment. Reception can help you choose the appropriate next step.

Can I request a particular veterinarian or bring a second-opinion case?

You can request a veterinarian by name when contacting reception. The team will confirm the clinician’s branch and available appointments; the team page does not show a live duty roster. For a particular procedure, ask who will assess your pet, what information should be sent ahead and whether a referral or a longer appointment is needed.

For a second-opinion enquiry, provide previous clinical notes, test results, imaging and the current treatment list wherever possible. This helps the receiving veterinarian review what has already been investigated and discuss the next steps. A new examination or further tests may still be appropriate. For urgent concerns, prioritise an available emergency assessment instead of waiting for a preferred clinician.

How do I choose the best veterinary clinic in Dubai for my pet?

The right clinic depends on your pet’s species, the care needed, the location you can reach and the team available for that appointment. Compare current opening arrangements, the named treating veterinarian, relevant experience, diagnostic access, written estimates and follow-up. Read recent independent reviews for specific experiences as well as the overall rating. A general claim to be the best is less useful than information you can check.

Kings Veterinary Clinic has branches in Majan / Al Barari, Al Wasl / Jumeirah, Al Furjan and Damac Hills 2. Routine appointments are 9am–9pm daily, and all four branches are open 24 hours for emergencies. Choose a branch and ask the team to confirm the clinician and service appropriate to your pet.

How can I find the right vet doctor in Dubai for a particular problem?

Ask for the treating veterinarian’s full name, verified qualifications and current professional registration or licence status, plus experience with your pet’s species and the problem you want assessed. Discuss who will perform a procedure, who will monitor recovery and whether further advice or referral could be needed. A clinical interest, a general veterinary qualification and a recognised specialist credential are different things; ask what any title means.

You can view the Kings clinical team and request a preferred veterinarian when arranging an appointment. The preference is subject to availability. Reception must confirm the actual clinician, branch and time; an online profile is not a live duty rota.

What should I check when choosing an emergency veterinary clinic in Dubai?

Check whether the clinic is open for emergencies at that time, which branch can receive your pet and how to reach the treating team by telephone. Ask whether the clinician and facilities available are appropriate to the case, how assessment and consent will be handled, and what arrangements apply if further care or transfer is needed. Overnight emergency opening does not mean every specialist or elective procedure is available around the clock.

All four Kings branches are open 24 hours for emergencies. Call your nearest branch directly so the team can guide your arrival. Do not wait for a WhatsApp or appointment-form reply when your pet needs urgent help.
